Leviathan Rising is an atomic-age TTRPG about disasters, hard choices, and giant monsters.

In an alternate timeline, humanity’s exploitation of nuclear technology in the 1950's created PRIME, the first monster of the Atomic Age, which walked out of the Pacific and died on San Diego's doorstep. Its death caused radiation levels high enough that parts of the city are no longer habitable. 

Its death changed the world. Old titans began to stir, and the negligence of scientists sparked new monstrosities to life. And no one knew how to respond. 

So an international agency known to everyone as Leviathan was created to keep humanity alive in a world it no longer fully controls. You are its agents. With humanity's current technology, you can’t fight these monsters directly, and you can’t kill them. But you can learn what they want, get people out of the way, and decide what you’re willing to give up to buy the world another day.

This brand-new game system from designer Christina Stiso features a unique resolution mechanic that centers player choice. The dice never decide whether you succeed. You do. The dice just tell you what success is going to cost. 

The descending dice pool system incorporates a Doomsday Clock, which raises the stakes as things go wrong. It also includes Crisis Cards, which change what the dice actually mean, bringing the chaos and uncertainty of disaster movies to the tabletop.
